Duration : 13 Weeks (Extension possible)
Local $65/hour
Travel $70/hour all inclusive
 
Position Overview
The client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pre-Op / PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our perioperative team. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a close-knit, rural healthcare environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care before and after surgical procedures.
 
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-anesthesia (PACU) nursing care</li>
<li>Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions before and after procedures</li>
<li>Administer medications and manage pain control per physician orders</li>
<li>Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care</li>
<li>Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions</li>
<li>Respond promptly to changes in patient status in the PACU setting</li>
</ul>
 
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Active RN license (Vermont or compact state)</li>
<li>BLS and ACLS certifications required</li>
<li>Previous Pre-Op and/or PACU experience preferred</li>
<li>Strong critical thinking and communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to work independently in a rural healthcare setting</li>
