We are seeking a Conceptual Estimator to join our team and play a key role in the early planning and development of projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the challenge of turning limited information—sketches, narratives, planning documents—into clear, well‐reasoned cost models that help guide decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop high-level conceptual estimates from preliminary drawings, design narratives, and programming information.
• Collaborate with in-house architects, engineers, project managers, and executives to shape project scope and feasibility.
• Prepare cost models, benchmarking analyses, and comparison studies.
• Identify cost drivers, risks, and opportunities early in the design process.
• Maintain current knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, and market pricing.
• Support value-engineering and design-development efforts.
• Assist in the improvement of estimating tools, databases, and workflow processes.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3-20 years of experience in conceptual estimating, preconstruction, project management, or related work within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of building systems, design processes, and construction sequencing.
• Ability to interpret conceptual design documents with limited detail.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Excel; familiarity with BIM tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication, visualization, and collaboration skills.
