Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Spend your summer making a meaningful impact by providing essential care to students in a K-12 setting. A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Registered Nurse to serve as the school nurse during the month of July. In this role, you'll work 8am to 12pm, Monday through Thursday, supporting student health and wellbeing in a friendly, welcoming school environment.
Qualifications:
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in a school nursing or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid
- Strong communication skills to work with students, staff, and families
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Organizational skills to maintain health records and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to students throughout the school day
- Administer medications and monitor chronic health conditions for students as prescribed
- Provide rapid response to injuries and medical emergencies on campus
- Collaborate with counselors, teachers, and parents regarding student health concerns
- Maintain updated student health records and communicate any notable findings
- Educate students on basic health practices and wellness
- Ensure a safe, healthy environment and comply with school policies and procedures
