Position Summary
The Shift Lead helps keep shifts running smoothly while providing excellent guest service. This role works alongside the team in guest-facing, tip-producing duties and supports daily operations, shift readiness, inventory, and communication with management. This is not a management or supervisory position and does not have authority over hiring, discipline, scheduling, pay, or other employment decisions.
What You'll Do
- Deliver outstanding guest service while working cashier, counter, food service, and other guest-facing roles.
- Help keep shifts running smoothly by monitoring service flow, wait times, product quality, and cleanliness.
- Complete opening and closing duties, cash handling procedures, and operational checklists.
- Assist with inventory counts, stocking, product rotation, labeling, and organization.
- Report guest concerns, inventory issues, safety concerns, and operational challenges to management.
- Follow company standards for food safety, sanitation, security, and workplace safety.
- Support a positive team environment and lead by example through professionalism and excellent service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year of restaurant, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication, guest service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stay organized and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work opening, closing, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.
