Allen & Major Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager with 10+ years of experience to join our growing team in Woburn, MA. Responsibilities will include the management of development projects from concept to completion, with a special focus on fostering client relationships and utilizing your technical knowledge to lead project teams and mentor junior staff.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work on a diverse portfolio of projects and be able to manage projects from initial concept through completion. You should possess the technical and management skills required to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects, on time and within budget.

Requirements:
• Knowledge of the Massachusetts land use entitlement processes and local and state regulations.

• Experience with private developments performing site due diligence, preparing land use permit applications, understanding zoning laws, and presenting to municipal agencies.

• Experience with municipal projects is a plus.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and prioritization of responsibilities in a pressure work environment.

• Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, clients, regulators, and company-wide staff.

• Proficient with making technical computations and calculations involving the application of engineering principles, understanding plans and specifications, and making factual comparisons to the appropriate regulations.

• Ability to work independently and provide guidance and leadership to junior-level team or project members, with strict adherence to QA/QC procedures.

• Excellent leadership and interpersonal verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively, persuasively, and tactfully interact with employees at all levels of the organization.

• Ability to travel to project sites and attend public hearings and business meetings as required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Civil design software tools, including AutoCAD and HydroCAD.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.

• Professional Engineer registration in Massachusetts.

• 10+ years of professional engineering experience.
