Speech Therapist at Cape Regency Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Barnstable!
Part-time openings up to $52 an hour with weekly pay.

As a Speech Therapist, you will:

Provide resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload

Participate in the clinical team process
-
Provide teaching and training to staff
-
Screen patients/residents and develop appropriate care plans
-
May perform additional assigned administrative duties
-
Under a physician’s order, provide direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care
-
Consult with and train patients/residents and caregivers
-
Monitor efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with the supervisor
-
Document activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis
-
Participate in clinical program development and implementation
-
Participate in the training and orientation of other staff
-
Demonstrate ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field
Requirements:

Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Speech Therapy
-
Must possess an active and unencumbered Speech Therapist license in the state, or be in the process or eligible to obtain one

Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong organizational and analytical skills

Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary

Excellent hearing and verbal skills required for directing staff, customer relations, and marketing activities

Manual dexterity required for documentation needs, manipulations of equipment and for direct patient care

Requires intense attention and concentration

Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands
-
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others
-
Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds

Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language
