The Maintenance Mechanic is tasked with performing both mechanical and electrical repairs, alongside preventive maintenance on food processing equipment, building utilities, and facility systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of the equipment while strictly adhering to safety and food manufacturing standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on food processing equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on building utilities and facility systems.
- Ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment.
- Adhere to safety and food manufacturing standards.
- Troubleshoot issues with hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial systems.
- Perform PLC and electrical troubleshooting.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
- Relevant experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Skills in preventive maintenance and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Certification or experience in waste water operations and ammonia refrigeration.
- HVAC Technician License.
- Basic plumbing and welding knowledge.
- Experience with food manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Forklift operator certification and experience.
- Advanced skills in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting tools such as multi-meters, voltage testers, and amperage testers.

Work Environment
The role is based in an indoor manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. Employees must adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment. The position requires physical demands such as standing and walking on concrete floors for extended periods, frequent bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., twisting, and climbing ladders up to 30 feet high. This is a full-time position with standard working hours, potential for overtime, and may include weekend shifts as needed to support maintenance and production.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
