Position: Dietician (16-20 Hours/Week)\n\n
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dietician to be responsible for administrative and therapeutic activities related to dietetics. The role includes supervising food operations and resident interactions, as well as maintaining collaboration with Nursing and Medical Staff.
\n\nResponsibilities\n

- Assess residents' nutritional needs and therapeutic diet appropriateness.
- Complete nutritional assessments using Point Click Care (PCC) electronic medical records.
- Consult with Physicians and healthcare personnel to determine nutritional requirements and dietary restrictions for residents.
- Inspect meals served to ensure compliance with prescribed diets, as well as standards of palatability and presentation.
- Instruct residents and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection, and preparation techniques.
- Set up and assist in the presentation of diet instructions and maintain accurate charting.
- Maintain effective communication with Medical, Nursing staff, and other departments regarding procedures, policies, and problem-solving related to resident food services and therapeutic needs.
- Continually evaluate resident food services and menus, communicating findings with the Production Supervisor.
- Complete MDS assessments as required.
- Maintain direct contact with residents as their dietitian, documenting visitations and communicating outcomes to Dietary and Administrative personnel.
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and skin care rounds.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in Food/Nutrition.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a long-term care setting with knowledge of state documentation procedures.
- Registered Dietitian credential from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Licensed Dietitian by the State of Massachusetts.
