Associate, Evidence Synthesis

Medicus Economics | Boston, MA (preferred) or remote | Full Time


Medicus Economics is seeking a highly skilled Associate to support the design, development, and implementation of clinical evidence synthesis and indirect treatment comparisons for leading biopharmaceutical clients. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy technically challenging quantitative work and want to contribute to projects that are published in high-quality health economics and pharmacoeconomics journals and inform global HTA submissions, pricing, reimbursement, and patient access.


What Youll Do

  • Implement and interpret HTA validated meta-analytic methods and indirect treatment comparisons, including network meta-analysis, matching-adjusted indirect comparison, simulated treatment comparison and related methods.
  • Program analytic components in R and other statistical programming languages.
  • Qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate the epidemiologic and clinical evidence base from systematic literature reviews to identify inferences, methods, key limitations and potential biases.
  • Integrate and translate evidence synthesis into economic models.
  • Contribute to client deliverables describing indirect treatment comparison methods and research, including technical documentation, project reports, presentations, abstracts, posters and manuscripts.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Doctorate (preferred), Masters (preferred) or Bachelor degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, health economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Hands-on experience with indirect treatment comparisons (required) and integrating evidence synthesis into economic models.
  • Proficiency in R (required); experience in JAGS/WinBUGS/Stan (preferred); exposure to SAS, Microsoft VBA.
  • Strong quantitative reasoning and ability to assess evidence quality.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks independently.
