Job Description
Dexter Southfield, in partnership with Bulldog Swimming, is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach school-day swim classes as part of our Learn to Swim program. This position offers the opportunity to work with children of various ages and abilities in a supportive and structured environment.
Responsibilities

Teach group swim lessons during the school day following established lesson plans.

Provide a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for students.

Adapt instruction to meet the needs of swimmers with varying skill levels.

Enforce pool safety rules and maintain constant supervision of all swimmers.

Communicate effectively with program staff and school personnel.
Qualifications

Prior experience teaching swim lessons or working with children in an aquatic setting.

Strong knowledge of basic swimming techniques and water safety.

Current CPR and First Aid certification (required).

Professional, reliable, and comfortable working with school-aged children.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Schedule

Classes are held during the school day at Dexter Southfield.
