How This Role Makes a Difference

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Legal team. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage the development, negotiation, and execution of a wide range of contracts in support of Care Access' research services. The Contracts Manager will effectively manage multiple priorities, and work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including, but without limitation, confidentiality, vendor services, clinical trial, lease, and event agreements with limited supervision
  • Ensure all agreements are executed in a timely manner, in compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, company policies and business objectives
  • Serve as primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries from internal stakeholders, including Legal, Finance, and Business Development
  • Develop and update contract templates, playbooks, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce risk
  • Evaluate and mitigate legal and business risks in contract terms and conditions in partnership with contracting leadership
  • Maintain a centralized contract repository; ensuring all contracts are properly filed, tracked, and accessible
  • Train and educate internal stakeholders on contract-related processes and best practices
  • Perform other legal tasks and special projects assigned by legal leadership

The Expertise Required

  • Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
  • Comprehensive understanding of contract law and legal terminology
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively define business issues and recommendations
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Certifications/Licenses, Education, and Experience

  • JD preferred or paralegal/contracts specialist with demonstrated history of excellence and 7+ years of experience

How We Work Together

  • Location: Remote within the United States. This role requires 100% of work to be performed in a remote office environment.
  • Travel: This is a remote position with less than 10% travel requirements. Occasional planned travel may be required as part of the role.
  • Physical demands associated with this position Include: The ability to use keyboards and other computer equipment.

The expected salary range for this role is $85,000 - $115,000 USD per year for full time team members.
