Project Manager – Commercial Construction
Salary: $130,000 – $160,000 + Bonus & Benefits

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join a growing and highly respected general contractor with a strong pipeline of diverse projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and has experience managing large-scale construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

With a wide range of active work across multifamily, academic, and commercial sectors, this position offers exposure to dynamic and impactful projects. Candidates with a strong background in general contracting are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning and scheduling, including development of detailed baseline schedules

  • Partner with Superintendents and Project Executives to maintain progress and proactively resolve issues

  • Manage all project documentation including submittals, RFIs, and permitting processes

  • Oversee procurement, subcontractor buyouts, and contract negotiations

  • Coordinate and implement change orders while ensuring alignment with project scope

  • Act as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and consultants

  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost reports, and monthly financial projections

  • Ensure all field operations meet quality control and safety standards

  • Supervise and mentor Assistant Project Managers, Coordinators, and field staff

  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication across all stakeholders

  • Oversee project closeout including punch lists, final inspections, and financial completion

  • Support business development efforts through client relationships and industry networking

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 6–10+ years of project management experience in commercial or residential construction

  • Experience managing projects valued at $100M+ strongly preferred

  • High-rise residential experience is a plus

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel

  • Deep understanding of construction drawings, contracts, scheduling, and cost control

  • Ability to navigate active construction sites

  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a collaborative environment

  • Experience with client engagement and business development is a plus
