Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in Lowell, MA is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic services throughout the school year. This contract position offers an opportunity to support the physical development and well-being of students within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans.
- Evaluate students physical abilities and needs to create effective treatment strategies.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students to enhance their mobility, strength, and functional skills.
- Document and report student progress regularly to parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive student support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in school-based settings preferred.
- Strong understanding of physical therapy interventions for students aged 5-18.
- Ability to work effectively within a K-12 educational environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
