As a Gastroenterologist, your role will involve evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients who require specialized care. You will be part of a collaborative team model, where primary and specialty care providers work together with hospital partners, community specialists, and skilled nursing facilities to deliver high-quality, evidence-based medicine to a diverse and expanding patient population.
Main Responsibilities:

Conduct physical assessments for patients with specialized conditions.

Formulate and execute care plans for these patients, including prescribing medications, exercises, and other treatments.

Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to manage patient care, ensuring continuity through effective communication with external health and social agencies.

Act as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists, such as general surgeons, urologists, orthopedic surgeons, and ENT specialists. Consult with primary care providers regarding patient care issues.

Educate and counsel individuals and groups on specific healthcare needs, serving as a specialist educator.

Contribute to the development of health education programs.

Essential Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.

Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or the ability to obtain it post-hire, in accordance with state regulations.

Current active Massachusetts DPH Controlled Substances Registration or the ability to obtain it post-hire, in accordance with state regulations.

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required based on specialty.
Compensation for this specialty typically ranges from $386,500 to $757,500. Total cash compensation includes base salary and bonuses, influenced by various factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and potential increases over time based on productivity and performance. We adhere to all applicable minimum wage laws.
