A skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Interventional Radiology is needed for a contract role in Newport, NH. This opportunity focuses on delivering exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients within the Radiology Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for inpatients and outpatients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures including Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and MRI.
- Assess patient conditions, communicate effectively, and deliver education and support to patients and families.
- Lead and coordinate total nursing care while collaborating with ancillary nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols, policies, and procedures related to interventional radiology and patient monitoring.
- Manage patient care in compliance with patient rights and ensure readiness for any emergent situations during radiological procedures.
- Maintain professional standards of nursing practice and utilize the facility's Epic EMR system.
Qualifications:
- Valid New Hampshire Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate is mandatory and must be submitted upfront.
- Proven experience in radiology nursing with a strong background in interventional procedures.
- Able to work within established policies prohibiting block scheduling and local travelers living within 50 miles of the facility.
- Professionalism in appearance with traveler-provided scrubs (no logos).
- Commitment to limited requested time off during the assignment (no more than five days).
