Bring your expertise in physical therapy to a rewarding contract position serving young learners in a supportive educational environment. This full-time opportunity involves working 30 hours per week with both preschool and select elementary students, shaping students’ developmental progress through direct, onsite therapy in a collaborative school setting. The contract will begin on a short-term basis but may be extended beyond the initial period if a permanent hire is not made internally. Your commitment and passion for working with children will help set students on the path to success.
Requirements for consideration:
- Current, active PT license or certification in Massachusetts
- Previous experience within a school-based physical therapy setting
- Ability to work onsite, providing hands-on therapy and support
- Completion of CORI background check and fingerprinting prior to starting
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, staff, and families
- Availability to start as soon as possible and commit to the scheduled contract term
- Priority given to candidates with the appropriate credentials
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized and group PT sessions for preschool and elementary students
- Assessing physical therapy needs, developing treatment plans, and tracking student progress
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families for comprehensive student support
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to each child’s therapy plan
- Maintaining thorough documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
