Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in a K-12 setting within a separate ASD classroom. This contract role begins on August 27, 2025, and offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team specializing in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to a caseload of 10 students, including 3 non-verbal learners, in a separate ASD classroom.
- Collaborate with a paraprofessional to implement tailored educational plans.
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed to meet diverse learning profiles.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and development.
- municate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators regarding student needs and achievements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education.
- Valid Massachusetts state licensure/certification as a Special Education Teacher.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a K-12 educational setting.
- Experience working with ASD and non-verbal students is highly desirable.
