Job Title: Carpenter Helper
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled carpenter helper with their own hand tools and PPE to work on our job in Braintree, MA. This position will revolve around commercial wood framing, wall panel installation, and assisting lead carpenters. This role will pay $18 - $23 an hour depending on how many years of commercial carpentry and framing experience you have.
Responsibilities
- Perform commercial wood framing tasks on active construction sites, following project plans and specifications.
- Use hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively to complete carpentry and framing work.
- Assist with general labor tasks on site, including material handling, site cleanup, and setup of work areas.
- Support the construction of structural framing components, ensuring work meets quality and safety standards.
- Work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety.
- Collaborate with other crew members and follow direction from site leadership to complete daily tasks.
- Follow all site safety rules, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Travel to and work at assigned project locations, including sites in Quincy, Foxborough, Springfield, and Hampton, as needed.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience working on a construction site.
- Hands-on experience in construction labor, carpentry, framing, or closely related work.
- Ability to perform basic carpentry tasks, including measuring, cutting, and assembling wood components.
- Comfort working outdoors in a physically demanding environment.
- Ability to use and maintain personal hand tools required for carpentry and framing.
- Understanding of basic construction site safety practices.
- Reliability and willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Braintree, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
