EHR/EMR Go-Live Implementation Support

A prominent academic medical center and integrated healthcare system in the Boston area is undertaking a major initiative to implement the Epic Beaker laboratory information system. We are seeking highly skilled and experienced EHR Go-Live Support Specialists to provide “At-the-Elbow” support to our clinical and administrative staff during this transition. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in a fast-paced environment and gain additional go-live experience for your resume.

Location: Boston, MA Area (On-site at Brigham and Faulkner main campuses)

Hourly Pay Rate: $40 - $50 per hour, depending on experience.

Role and Responsibilities:

As an "At-the-Elbow" Go-Live Support Specialist, you will be the primary resource for lab staff, including medical technologists, phlebotomists, and pathologists. Your role will be to provide hands-on, real-time support as they begin using the new Epic Beaker system. Your responsibilities will include:

· Providing immediate, in-person support to users.

· Troubleshooting and resolving user issues.

· Escalating complex problems to the central command center and project team as needed.

· Guiding users through specific workflows and tasks.

· Ensuring workflow continuity to minimize disruption to patient care.

Qualifications:

· EMR Experience Required

· Epic or other EMR Go-Live experience is required.

· Clinical Support experience is required.

· Basic knowledge and user proficiency with Epic is preferred.

Assignment Details:

· Duration: 3 weeks (10/29 – 11/15)

· Schedule:

o Week 1 (10/29 - 10/31): 24 hours over 3 days (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.

o Week 2 (11/02 - 11/08): 40 hours total over 4 shifts (10 hours each), any day from Sunday to Saturday, with potential shifts from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 12 a.m.

o Week 3 (11/09 - 11/15): 16 hours total over 2 days (8 hours each), any day from Sunday to Saturday, with potential shifts from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Benefits:

· Travel costs will be reimbursed.

· Meals will be provided.

· Parking garage fees will be covered or a shuttle service will be arranged.

· Shuttles to and from hospitals will be provided.
