Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Birthing Center / Labor & Delivery
Location: Hyannis, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Type: Travel Contract
Weekly Pay: $2,545 to $2,803/Week
Schedule
- Day Shift | 8-Hour Shifts
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 40 Hours per Week
- Every Other Weekend & Holiday Required
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Birthing Center team in Hyannis, MA. This role focuses on providing exceptional maternal and newborn care while supporting patients through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care in a collaborative clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation processes.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses throughout treatment and recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and patient documentation.
- Provide comprehensive physical, emotional, and social patient assessments during admission and care.
- Serve as charge nurse when needed and assist with staff orientation and education.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and ancillary staff to support quality patient outcomes.
- Follow infection control, safety, and blood/body fluid exposure protocols.
- Deliver excellent patient and family-centered care with strong communication and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Active Massachusetts RN License required.
- Minimum recent OB/Labor & Delivery experience within the last 2 years required.
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
- Completion of a Fetal Monitoring Course (Intermediate or Advanced) every 2 years required.
- CPI certification preferred.
- Must successfully complete facility pharmacology exam.
- Strong communication, documentation, and computer skills required.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
