Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialized opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide targeted services in a high school setting designed to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. The role focuses on delivering augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) support within the Compass High Program, fostering personalized educational approaches that emphasize skill-building for greater independence.

Location: Ludlow, MA
Duration: July 6, 2026 August 7, 2026 (with consideration for the following school year based on performance)
Schedule: 15-20 hours per week, spread over 2-3 days
Setting: High school, specialized program for students with ASD and learning differences

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide AAC-related speech-language services tailored to high school students with ASD or learning challenges
  • Collaborate with educational staff to implement individualized communication goals
  • Support students in developing functional communication skills that enhance independence
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive learning environment outside traditional classroom settings

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), with valid credentials meeting state requirements
  • Experience working with high school-aged students and familiarity with AAC strategies
  • Understanding of speech-language needs associated with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other learning differences
  • Capability to deliver services in a specialized, non-traditional educational setting
