Easterseals MA is a well-established nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure children and adults with disabilities have equal opportunities to live, learn, work, and play. We are seeking a part-time Riding Instructor to join our team at Equestrian Center at Easterseals Massachusetts in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Riding Instructors will provide traditional English and adaptive horseback riding instruction and equine-assisted activities at the 20-acre Equestrian Center on The Bridge Center campus. Instructors will offer fun and safe lessons while enhancing a participant’s physical, emotional, social, cognitive, behavioral, and educational skills. PATH CTRI and/or ESMHL certification is preferred. 
Responsibilities Include:
I. Lesson Management
<ul>
<li>Assess and develop scaffolded goals for new participants (mounted and/or unmounted) </li>
<li>Create a lesson plan and adjust throughout the lesson based on participant needs</li>
<li>Instruct a diverse population of both individual and group lessons on afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends</li>

Role and Responsibilities:
Performs tree maintenance, including pruning, cabling, fertilizing, planting, spraying, injecting and tree removals.&nbsp; Climbs with rope and saddle and operates an aerial lift.&nbsp; Performs a variety of other arboricultural and horticultural tasks as needed, such as plant pest monitoring and shrub pruning.

<li>Perform all necessary tree pruning, removals, storm damage repairs, cabling, and other tree work.</li>

<li>Assists in the construction of new greens, tees, fairways, and other features by grading, preparing soil and seeding with appropriate erosion measures.</li>
<li>Operates dump trucks and other light equipment for hauling materials and removing debris</li>
<li>Performs tree work and pruning, which involves the use of chain saws and brush cutters, chipping, clearing hauling and burning.</li>
<li>Performs or assists in the construction, maintenance and repair of structures and accessories associated with the golf course</li>
<li>Cultivates and weeds flower beds and shrubs and similar clubhouse grounds</li>
<li>Keeps equipment clean fueled and lubricated. Notifies the mechanic immediately of any equipment failures, noises, vibrations or concerns, etc.</li>
<li>Observes, monitors and directs players and notifies the management team of any occurring problems on the premises </li>
<li>Other duties as assigned by supervisor, which could be directly related, or un-related to original position.</li>

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has basic supervisory responsibilities for Greensperson I’s at the request of and under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent.

In the Sales Arborist role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our field specialists who deliver work and new and existing customers while applying your expertise to ensure the health and well-being of each client’s landscape.
Your focus will be to develop, grow and support your assigned sales territory.
This role will involve spending time with clients and prospects to diagnose and monitor landscapes, as well as estimating jobs and providing estimates for the work to be completed. Your role is to be the trusted advisor for the property owner and to become an integral part of the health and safety of the environment you serve. 
You’ll set up crews, validate the work is being performed, and ensure jobs are completed to clients' satisfaction, as well as obtain referrals, network, and develop new business.
You will also participate in community and industry events such as presentations to horticultural associations, garden clubs, trade shows, and community organizations, interacting with stakeholders to preserve, care for and protect the properties that we serve together.

The Tree Care Team is involved in all aspects of pruning, removals, cable bracing and other concepts related to tree care. Team members are able to safely operate all equipment and perform the assigned job tasks while also providing excellent service to our clients.
What kind of person are we looking for? Someone with:
