Duties Prepare Youth for Success •Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes. • Responds sensitively to the interests, requests, and needs of individual children, interacts positively with children, encourages exploration, and uses positive child guidance strategies. • Provide guidance and role modeling to Club members by planning and outlining curriculum to meet the individual needs of youth by incorporating elements of an emergent curriculum. • Establishes and maintains program goals to ensure the health and safety of all members. • May ensure the evaluation of Club programs continually, including tracking outcome metrics; verify that programs/activities respond to member needs and address their gender andcultural diversity. • Uses child observation notes as a tool for curriculum planning, keeps accurate and up-to-date • Continuously accounts for the members in their assigned group by name and face. • Oversees implementation of NAEYC standards and GSQ (when applicable), Culture DNA code, as well as BGCCNNH and CCLU rules and policies regarding safety, compliance, and best practices. • Dispenses medications according to company policy, administers first aid as needed; communicates all occurrences to families. • Oversees and assists in cleaning, organizing, and maintaining classroom well-being and upkeep. Program Development, Implementation, and Supervision • Oversees proper record-keeping and weekly reporting, including activities and events conducted in themembership/finance system. Will provide data for input to a Center Director or other applicable staff. • Facilitates open and effective, professional verbal and written communication with families, staff, and children. • Supervises classroom staff, students, and volunteers; provides regular feedback about job performance. • Supports volunteers, practicum students, and staff through modeling techniques and strategies that connect theory to practice. • May lead planning meetings with the teaching team. • May increase the visibility of Club programs via daily schedule postings, announcements of upcoming events through different social media channels, family emails, etc. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements •Must be an associate teacher qualified before November 6, 2017, have a minimum of 9 credits in related coursework or have a minimum of 1000 hours of supervised child care experience in a licensed child care program, and knowledge of child growth and development obtained through one of the following: a. Completion of a high school level 2-year career and technical education course in teacher education; b. A 3-credit college course in child or human growth and development; c. Thirty hours of training in child growth and development, granted by an accredited college or university, an authorized provider of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training, or obtained through documented life experience, including experience with the same age children, the associate teacher supervises, such as a family child care provider, service as a foster parent, work as a school teacher, work as a camp counselor and experience as a group leader for children in sports or other activities, such as scouts or little league, or closely related experience.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and dedicated Massachusetts-Band/General Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering academic success, be committed to inclusion, and demonstrate flexibility in meeting the diverse needs of students.
The selected candidate will adhere to all Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) guidelines and regulations, ensuring that students receive the highest quality of instruction and support. 
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Model the mission and character virtues of the school. </li>
<li>Demonstrate knowledge of subject areas.</li>
<li>Guide the learning process toward the achievement of school curriculum goals.</li>
<li>Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and communicate these objectives to students.</li>
<li>Plan instruction based upon explicit goals regarding what students should know and be able to do.</li>
<li>Create or provide learning experiences that develop students’ abilities and require the application of thinking skills.</li>
<li>Employ a variety of instructional strategies that consider individual learning styles and performance levels.</li>
<li>Organize instruction around essential questions or objectives; teach for understanding and/or mastery; provide students with practice and extension opportunities as needed.</li>
<li>Assess student learning on a regular basis using multiple forms of assessment; analyze data and provide reports of student progress as needed.</li>
<li>Use assessment data to inform instruction.</li>
<li>Create a classroom learning environment that is engaging, orderly, secure and appealing for students and in which mutual respect is shown.</li>
<li>Carry out the school’s disciplinary code and procedures in a fair and just manner.</li>
<li>Give assignments that reinforce classroom instruction.</li>
<li>Communicate student progress and development to parents, involving families in the education of their child.</li>
<li>Provide written assessments, referrals and evaluations when necessary for students with special needs. Participate in IEP meetings.</li>
<li>Participate in professional growth opportunities.</li>
<li>Model learning and behavior consistent with the expectations for students.</li>
<li>Attend staff /team/department meetings and serve on staff committees as necessary.</li>
<li>Assist the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct.</li>
<li>Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum and instructional effectiveness for all students.</li>
<li>Meet stated guidelines for all reporting, including, lesson plans, teacher goals and binder, and assessment data. </li>
<li>Coordinate the Band meeting dates and times and advertise those for members.</li>
<li>Plan and schedule performances in collaboration with the building Principal.</li>
<li>Coordinate and assemble materials needed for the efficient operations of the Band</li>
<li>Oversee the Students participation in band activities</li>
<li>Coordinate rehearsal times.</li>
<li>Schedule the appropriate space for any Music/Band production.</li>
<li>Coordinate with necessary parties for advertisements, programs and tickets.</li>
<li>Supervise all activities on school property or in the community.</li>
</ul>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Current authorization to work in the United States. </li>
<li>Hold a Bachelor Degree.</li>
<li>Hold the appropriate valid Massachusetts Teaching License in the required subject matter at the appropriate grade level.</li>
</ul>

<li>Background check and fingerprinting as required by Massachusetts state regulations.</li>
<li>Ability to work in compliance with federal, state, and district policies and regulations.</li>
<li>Completion of any required professional development or certifications as mandated by the District.</li>
</ul>
Work Environment:
<ul>
<li>The work environment is typically inside a school or classroom setting.</li>
<li>Noise levels may vary, but are generally moderate, with occasional higher noise levels due to student activities or group work.</li>
<li>Some travel between classrooms and school buildings may be required.</li>
<li>The role may require lifting, carrying, or moving educational materials or students, as well as the ability to monitor and engage in physical activities.</li>

Compensation and Benefits:
