Position: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay: $80,000 – $90,000 per year (dependent on relevant experience)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing to join our leadership team at a skilled nursing facility that provides both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee staff education programs, including orientation, in-service training, and ongoing development
  • Ensure staff are properly trained, informed, and equipped to deliver high-quality care
  • Lead and manage the Infection Control Program, including monitoring and prevention strategies
  • Evaluate resident care outcomes, particularly related to infection control and quality standards
  • Analyze data and recommend improvements or corrective actions as needed
  • Monitor staff compliance with infection prevention protocols and safety measures
  • Assist with staffing coverage to maintain appropriate care levels
  • Participate in on-call rotation with nursing leadership

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, preferably long-term care
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and long-term care standards
  • CPR/BCLS and IV certification required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to work independently
