Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring a full-time Maintenance Director to join our team!
Southbridge is a 144-bed skilled nursing facility. Salaried role up to $72,000 with weekly pay.
Education and Experience:

A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, in maintenance/plant related position preferred.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints and be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.

Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions in the long-term care facility.

Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and to supervise professional and non-professional personnel.

Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the maintenance department.

Possess some familiarity with life safety regulations.
Duties:
-
Plan, organize, and direct the maintenance department of the facility.

Follow the facility's maintenance program to prevent and correct problems in maintaining appliances, equipment, etc.

Maintain all floors, walls, wall coverings, ceilings, etc. to keep the facility in excellent condition.

Identify problems and report them appropriately.

Take responsibility for all phases of grounds including lawn care, weed control, planting, cleaning of parking lots, etc.

Maintain care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and maintain the appearance of work areas.

Ensure that all driveways, parking areas, walks, and stairs are kept free from ice, snow, leaves, and debris.

Supervise outside contractors.

Oversee the ordering of supplies and equipment within budget and PAR levels.

Perform regular inspections of resident rooms, halls and common areas for order, safety and any repairs that may be required.

Take care of special requests from residents promptly.

Use safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
