The position of Ski / Ride Instructor is responsible for conducting safe and engaging lessons that develop core skiing and/or riding abilities in students. <li>Instruct multiple athletes in an outdoor winter environment</li>
<li>Manage lesson time effectively</li>
<li>Illustrate program value to increase participation</li>
<li>Analyze movements and provide useful feedback to students in a manner consistent with current PSIA/AASI technique</li>
<li>Communicate with other instructors, supervisors, and Ragged Mountain Staff</li>
<li>Complete daily student and/or group evaluations </li>
<li>Enforce policies and procedures</li>
<li>Follow the Code of Conduct at all times</li>
<li>Understand and demonstrate Smart Style</li>
<li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisors</li>

<li>PSIA/AASI Certification preferred but not required</li>
<li>Must possess strong skiing or snowboarding skills</li>
<li>Must possess strong leadership and group management skills&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </li>
<li>Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds</li>
<li>Must be able to work extended hours in inclement weather and cold temperatures</li>
<li>Must possess strong teaching, training and coaching skills</li>
<li>Must be able to successfully pass drug screening and background check</li>
