Position Summary: 
The Instructor I will proficiently instruct any of the courses assigned using the approved lesson plans by conducting classroom and practical exercises to achieve course objectives. This position requires working in a team environment with students and internal SIG employees from all business units, as well as the general customer base.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Provide optimal training environment in the classroom and on the range utilizing SIG SAUER Academy instructional methods, practices, and procedures.</li>
<li>Provide expert instruction of designated basic level courses as assigned using approved lesson plans.</li>
<li>Meet established course objectives and timelines on assigned training courses and support events.</li>
<li>Represent SIG SAUER Academy during events, conferences, trade shows, commercial sales events, and other interactions with the public.</li>
<li>Maintain a professional image and follow standards of conduct while representing SIG SAUER at company related events.</li>
<li>Maintain expert knowledge of firearms safety practices, policies, and procedures.</li>
<li>Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.</li>
<li>May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.</li>
<li>May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.</li>
<li>Miscellaneous duties as assigned.</li>

Education/Experience &amp; Skills:
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or equivalent required and 2+ years of experience in providing training in safe handling, manipulation, and implementation of firearms preferred.</li>
<li>Law enforcement or military instructor level experience preferred.</li>
<li>Expert knowledge of weapons, tactics, and the proper handling and use of a wide variety of firearms including handguns, rifles, shotguns, and automatic weapons.</li>
<li>Prior Armorer experience is a plus.</li>
<li>Flexibility to travel both domestically and internationally up to two weeks per month.</li>
<li>Expert knowledge of firearms safety practices and procedures in any environment.</li>
<li>Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.</li>
<li>Expert presentation skills and the ability to speak in a public setting.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and adapt quickly to changes.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively to leadership regarding problems and corrective action.</li>

Working Conditions:
<ul>
<li>Work is primarily standing (90 + % of the shift) with the exception of breaks/lunch periods.</li>
<li>The duties of this position typically require exposure to a shooting range where frequent standing, kneeling, running, sitting, crouching, crawling, twisting, grasping and walking can be expected along with frequent lifting up to 40 pounds and/or moving of equipment cases and materials up to 100 pounds.</li>
<li>Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently at a minimum 50% of the shift, as well as undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions.</li>
<li>Must demonstrate proficient fine motor skills, be able to grip, reach, pull, and turn.</li>
<li>Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception and ability to focus.</li>
<li>Assignments will require exposure to varying climate and environmental conditions both extreme cold and warm weather conditions for extended periods of time.</li>
<li>Exposure to a variety of firearms and other weapons, related chemicals, gun cleaning solvents, ammunition and explosive materials, ammunition smoke and hand and power tools related to weapon and range repairs; additional information is available from EHS upon request.</li>
<li>Work includes exposure to extreme noise of firearms, requiring the use of ear protection equipment. Must possess mobility, vision, hearing, and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties to be performed.</li>

Job DescriptionDescriptionThis position is primarily responsible, under the supervision of the Aquatic Director, for assisting in the planning, organizing, directing, budgeting and evaluating those programs within his/her program area in accordance with the mission, purposes and polices of the association.&nbsp; Additional responsibilities include recruiting, orienting, training and supervising all staff, paid and volunteer, related to his/her area of responsibility. This position will act on behalf of the Aquatic Director in his/her absence, and, at all times, shall work within the guidelines of the aquatic policies. &nbsp; Key ResponsibilitiesKey Functions/Responsibilities:

<li>Provide excellent member service by exceeding member expectations.</li>
<li>Engage in active listening with members in order to build relationships, understand individual’s goals and interests, and take the initiative to assist in the achievement of those goals.</li>
<li>Responsible for recruiting, scheduling and supervising (in consultation with Aquatic Director) of all lifeguard and instructor personnel.</li>
<li>Work with Aquatic Director to develop, oversee and monitor Aquatics budget.</li>
<li>Work with supervisor in the planning and scheduling of program facilities for the smooth functioning of daily operations.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Work to review staff, class, and pool scheduling.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Aquatic Director in the execution of the Instructional swim programs.</li>
<li>Teach and/or guard as needed, up to 20 hours per week.</li>
<li>Be available to assist with registration and answer questions from members, program participants and staff.</li>
<li>Provide on-going training and development of aquatic personnel.&nbsp;</li>
<li>In conjunction with Aquatic Director, oversee all requires safety and quality training, drills, and documentation.</li>
<li>Share responsibility with supervisor for the care and maintenance of facility and related program equipment.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Assist in ordering equipment purchases and Aquatic/First Aid supplies as necessary.</li>
<li>Maintain concise records essential for control, evaluation and reporting to committees, Board and Aquatics Director.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Establish a working relationship with community agencies, businesses, schools and other resources.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Aid in implementing special events that relate to the Aquatic Department and the YMCA as a whole.</li>
