They will participate in food and beverage service as outlined by the MOD, coordinate with the Chef on duty in the kitchen, and&nbsp;present the standards as outlined in the Events SOP Training. City Winery Event Captains will provide high level hospitality to the client and guests.
Overview of Responsibilities
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Coordinate with and execute the plan of the MOD for all onsite event logistics for day prior, set up, hands-on execution, and through post-event breakdown
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to connect and communicate with MOD to review logistics and provide on-the-floor support, including but not limited to ensuring the event is performed and delivered according to client expectations
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ensure the event is maintained to the highest standards and run successfully
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintain positive brand impressions to develop lasting relationships with clients and guests to retain business and increase growth
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Work directly with Event Sales Team, Executive Chef, Winery Department, GM and FOH Managers, and any other internal partners to secure event needs for execution
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Carry out service strategy as set forth by MOD
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Frequently check in with the MOD to ensure service standards, event timeline, and event menu are being executed to the expectations of the client
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Organize, print, and distribute detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with approval of MOD, to be passed along to other departments (i.e. Front of House, Kitchen, etc.) to ensure smooth execution on the day of the event
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintain inventory of equipment, place and receive rental orders and organize rentals for pickup
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ensure the venue is fully prepared and organized for the execution of the event
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Coordinate with MOD to assist with outside vendors, including but not limited to; equipment load in and load out and overall rental equipment organization
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Oversee printed collateral: menus, labels, etc.
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ensure completion of post event tasks – including room resets, organizing rental equipment for pick up, and operational supplies remain organized for the next shift all based on expectations set by MOD
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Other duties, projects, and tasks as per business need
Minimum Qualifications
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Minimum 2 years’ experience in event operations management, or equivalent relevant experience
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Proven background and knowledge of strategizing and executing on-premise events
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Appreciation and general understanding of the music, food, and wine business
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; results oriented
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to take direction from MOD
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Aptitude to resolve troublesome situations with poise
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Proven event operations skills and commitment to operational excellence
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to successfully multitask, delegate, and coordinate several tasks at once in fast paced, high volume environments
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Able and willing to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Functional knowledge of the health department and related regulations
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing and walking for extended periods of time, bending, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
 ●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Must be fluently literate in English including ability to read, write, communicate, conduct basic business-related mathematics, and be able to accurately function a POS
