Job Summary
We are seeking a positive, experienced individual to join our management team. District
Managers are responsible for directing the operations of the restaurants in their district, in accordance with brand and franchise standards, remaining engaged with guests and employees to continually improve upon and maintain the overall success of their assigned district.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Manage and lead daily operations in the district, striving towards excellence and continual improvement</li>
<li>Fiscal responsibility for the district; Delegating and leading processes, meeting or exceeding sales goals, working within budgets, executing marketing initiatives, and overseeing and managing cash handling; Understand and respond to financial reports and utilize information to take action to increase profitability</li>
<li>Lead and develop a dedicated team; Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and motivating team members</li>
<li>Continually train Store Managers; Ensure understanding of scheduling based upon linebars, and food cost management through par level ordering, inventory, and tracking waste; Collaborate and follow-up with Training Manager/s for new hires</li>
<li>Effectively communicate daily with team members; Spend 4 – 8 hours per week with managers coaching and providing feedback; Continually recognizing achievements and resolving employee concerns; Hold bi-weekly team meetings; Adhere to applicable employment laws</li>
<li>Maintain an elevated level of focus on 100% Guest Satisfaction by example and exceptional service</li>
<li>Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to including but not limited to food safety and cleanliness, product promotions, cash handling, loss prevention, cell phone usage, uniforms, and attendance, holding crew accountable and documenting any necessary disciplinary action</li>
<li>Ensure safety and security of team and guests; Ensure performance of store level preventative maintenance of equipment and machines; act on property, building or equipment maintenance</li>
<li>Responsible for store coverage in Manager’s absence to include any staffing shortages as well as weekends and holidays as needed; Ensure stores open and close as scheduled</li>
<li>Be willing to maintain involvement within the district’s community</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Must be 21 years of age or older</li>
<li>Must have a valid driver’s license</li>
<li>High School Diploma or GED</li>
<li>3+ year’s multi-unit, high volume, food and beverage management, QSR experience</li>
<li>Previous food and beverage experience as a Restaurant, General; or Hospitality Manager</li>
<li>Desire to be a team member within a growing organization</li>
<li>A positive attitude; elevated level of integrity; strong work ethic; ability to multi-task and resolve conflict</li>
<li>Strong leadership abilities to successfully develop, manage and retain a team</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal skills to be an example in providing the highest level of customer service</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills both tangible and administrative; Strong communication skills</li>
<li>ServSafe and Food Allergen Awareness Certification preferred</li>
<li>Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs and able to stand for extended periods of time</li>

Our seasonal staff plays an integral role in ensuring that our visitors enjoy our extraordinary places. With the change to warmer temperatures, we experience an influx of visitors of all ages and backgrounds who want to explore and be inspired by our properties. Sandy beaches, wooded trails, cultural gardens, historic homes, community supported agriculture—there are many ways for visitors to discover and explore The Trustees, and just as many opportunities for seasonal employees to make each visitor’s experience special. 
The Role:
As a Seasonal Retail Associate, you perform the essential function of welcoming all guests to Appleton Farms and selling merchandise in the Farm Store. You are crucial as ambassadors of The Trustees, introducing guests to Farm Store merchandise, directing guests to refreshments and amenities, and sharing the many benefits of membership.    
The ideal candidate will model excellence in customer service and possess a passion for food and cooking; sustainable agriculture and local farming. You have experience contributing to a team and the ability to function independently. Candidate must be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of one year of work experience required. 
Specifically, you’ll:
<ul>
<li>Warmly greet all guests, assist guests in making purchases, have full product knowledge of what is carried in the store, act as a general ambassador to the Farm Store and property at large. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Operate Shopify POS system to sell merchandise/refreshments including proper cash handling. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Maintain supplies. This includes but is not limited to restocking, labeling and maintaining inventory as needed and alerting the Manager as to inventory levels. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Independently open and close the Farm Store, including starting and closing register sales sessions and reporting sales. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Upon request, the ability to work during seasonal events and holidays. </li>
</ul>
This is a limited term nonexempt position (8 – 16 hours/week) reporting directly to the Senior Retail Manager - Appleton
