THE POSITION:
The Senior Microbiology Medical Technologist (MT) works in collaboration with the veterinary staff and the Pathology team to provide Angell clientele with high quality clinical and anatomical laboratory services. The Senior Microbiology MT will assist in the opening of the new, state of the art Microbiology laboratory. The Senior Microbiology MT will help set up the laboratory space and workflow, train on all new Microbiology analyzers, train laboratory employees on microbiology procedures, develop and modify existing and new procedures and protocols, establish and monitor QC programs and help oversee the microbiology laboratory when required by Management. The Senior Microbiology MT uses a variety of technical and analytical skills to perform and evaluate various laboratory test procedures to aid the doctors in the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of patients to provide accurate and timely results. The Senior Microbiology MT will be cross trained into the Clinical Pathology laboratory as a generalist after becoming proficient in the microbiology laboratory. This position also requires collaboration and daily interaction with the clinical pathology laboratory. Working knowledge of current Microbiology practices, use of Maldi-Tof technology and the most updated CLSI and ASM guidelines is a preferred. Experience reading and evaluating all microbiology benches both human and veterinary is optimal.

The primary goals of Northeast federal fishery observation programs are to provide quantitative biological, vessel, and gear-selectivity information for various New England and Mid-Atlantic fisheries. The At-Sea Monitor program focuses specifically on the groundfish industry, a grouping of fish that includes many commonly consumed fish such as cod, haddock and various flounder species. At-Sea Monitors record detailed information on the gear and fishing activity of the vessels. Monitors work on deck on vessels ranging from 20 to 100 on trips roughly ranging from 1 to 14 days collecting data on fish catch and discard and incidental takes such as marine mammals, seabirds, and marine turtles. After attending a 3-week paid training in-person training inFalmouth, MAmonitors are deployed from ports throughout New England and Mid-Atlantic states. Gear types assessed include, trawl, gillnet, longline and handline.
 
Accommodations and meal reimbursement during in person session of training are provided.Training includes instructions on sampling protocols, gear, fisheries, fish identification, marine mammal/sea turtle identification, and safety.
 
This is a challenging job, and candidates must be mentally prepared to be away from home for multiple days, and must be physically able to handle heavy lifting, working odd hours, and long days in rough seas. Observing provides an excellent career in marine biology, as observers and monitors are widely recognized as being excellent field biologists. A broad range of advancement opportunities are available to those who demonstrate appropriate capabilities. Those opportunities include, but are not limited to, project management, field supervisors, and fieldwork in other programs.

As a member of E Ink’s Process Development Team, the Senior Chemical Process Systems Engineer will be entrusted with fulfilling our mission of bringing smart displays to the world. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Drive the development of a novel GFET-based point-of-care diagnostic platform. </li>
<li>Design, execute, and optimize experiments for biomarker detection, including feasibility, pilot, and process optimization studies. </li>
