Job Title: Animal Technician Location: Boston, Massachusetts Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $21 hourly Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm; Mon-Fri
Responsibilities
- Perform animal husbandry tasks, including providing food and water to animals
- Evaluate animal health and assess animals for behavioral problems
- Support research activities by providing research support services
- Maintain facility sanitation and perform routine maintenance
- Assist with scheduled weekend support once trained
- Participate in facility tours for suitable candidates after resume review
Requirements
- Minimum of High School Diploma
- Experience with care of animals (mice and rats)
- Minimal animal handling experience
- Willing to consider recent graduates interested in working with animals and in a lab setting
