Job DescriptionPosition Overview
MSI Trucking & Siteworks is seeking a reliable, hands-on Working Foreman / Heavy Equipment Operator to lead site teams and execute day-to-day earthwork operations. Under the supervision of the Trucking & Siteworks Manager, this role is responsible for leading on-site crew members (up to 4 team members), operating heavy machinery, performing general site work, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities

On-Site Leadership & Execution: Lead daily project tasks on-site, coordinate team resources, and work alongside crew members as a site worker to keep projects moving forward efficiently.

Equipment & Site Operations: Serve as a heavy equipment operator, assist with site inspections, and operate plow trucks or Class A CDL vehicles as directed.

Planning & Compliance: Plan earthwork strategies and ensure timely utility mark-outs and notifications in compliance with local and state regulations.

Safety & Quality Control: Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring all on-site staff adhere to (V)OSHA and MSI safety standards.

Communication & Scheduling: Help establish and maintain project schedules, inspect site conditions, report progress or delays, and notify management of equipment maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
-
Minimum of 2 years in construction or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years operating heavy equipment.

Licensing: Valid Driver’s License required; Class A CDL preferred.

Technical Knowledge: Proficient in operating heavy equipment/construction tools and reading site drawings.

Skills: Strong leadership, communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving abilities; basic MS Office skills.

Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational demands require (including winter plowing).
