Job DescriptionCNC Department Supervisor

Job Overview
Pay: $32.00- $45.00 (1st & 2nd Shift)

We are seeking an experienced CNC Department Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our Laser and Press Brake departments. This role leads a high-production CNC environment focused on the precision manufacturing of armor plate components. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise operators running CNC laser cutting and hydraulic press brake equipment

  • Direct workflow from initial laser cutting through final precision bending of armor components

  • Review blueprints and CAD drawings to ensure production accuracy

  • Select proper tooling and dies for heavy-gauge steel fabrication

  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs for CNC machinery

  • Monitor quality control using precision measuring tools to verify tolerances

  • Enforce shop safety standards and ensure OSHA compliance

  • Coordinate material handling processes using cranes and forklifts

Requirements

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a CNC machine shop or heavy metal fabrication environment

  • Strong expertise in CNC programming and operation, preferably with Trumpf equipment

  • Advanced knowledge of heavy-gauge steel behavior, bend allowances, and fabrication processes

  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints

  • Experience with high-precision measurement tools and quality control standards

  • Background in safely moving heavy materials using overhead cranes and forklifts

  • Strong math skills and attention to detail

  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
