Position: Assembler
Location: Mansfield, MA
Duration: Contract (Temp-to-Hire)
Start Date: August 10, 2026
Shift: First Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: Starting at $20.00/hour (Weekly Pay)
Essential Responsibilities
- Assemble medical device components according to manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Perform daily manufacturing activities and complete assigned production shop orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of production accuracy, product quality, and workmanship.
- Follow all manufacturing procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and company policies.
- Verify that the correct materials, components, and equipment are available before beginning production.
- Package finished products according to manufacturing specifications and customer requirements.
- Inspect assembled products for defects and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation, production records, and work order information.
- Assist Engineering with process validation, equipment qualification, testing, and data collection when required.
- Provide problem-solving support for manufacturing operations and production issues.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Development teams to achieve production goals.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain manufacturing knowledge, product quality, and operational procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety regulations and quality policies.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
- Medical device manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, ISO standards, and quality systems is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to understand and follow written work instructions, manufacturing procedures, engineering drawings, and operating manuals.
- Ability to understand Bills of Materials (BOMs), shop orders, routers, and manufacturing documentation.
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and working with decimals.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect product defects and quality issues.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift.
- Frequent walking throughout the production area.
- Frequent use of hands for handling, assembling, and manipulating small components.
- Frequent reaching with hands and arms.
- Occasional bending, crouching, squatting, sitting, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds continuously.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements throughout the workday.
- Good close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and color vision.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing production environment.
- Exposure to moving mechanical equipment.
- Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, humidity, temperature changes, and manufacturing chemicals.
- Moderate to loud noise levels.
- Safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) must be followed at all times.
