The Department of Psychiatry at our organization is on the lookout for a passionate and mission-oriented Addiction Psychiatrist to become part of our rapidly expanding academic team located at our main teaching hospital in downtown Boston. This role presents an exciting chance to join a collaborative and growing department that is actively developing a regional model for integrated behavioral health care across our network, which includes both our flagship academic medical center and various community hospitals throughout Eastern Massachusetts.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient addiction treatment services.
  • Support the ongoing growth of our Ambulatory Addiction Psychiatry Services.
  • Deliver consultations and long-term care for patients with complex substance use issues and co-occurring psychiatric conditions.
  • Work closely with other specialties in outpatient settings, including transplant services.
  • Engage in teaching, supervision, and curriculum development across various training programs.
  • Explore opportunities for research and scholarly activities, particularly in addiction psychiatry, health systems innovation, and integrated care models.

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
  • Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Adult Psychiatry Residency.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Adult Psychiatry.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Fellowship training and/or Board Certification in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine is highly preferred.
