Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Community Health/Home Health position in Pittsfield, MA, requiring an active MA RN license and home health experience with OASIS proficiency.

  • Home health setting providing nursing care to patients in their homes
  • \n

  • Community Health Nurse role serving residents throughout the community
  • \n

  • 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week
  • \n

  • Required to work every third weekend and 1-2 holidays
  • \n

  • On-call responsibilities may be required
  • \n

Requirements\n

  • Active MA RN license required in hand at time of application (compact license not accepted)
  • \n

  • Current BLS certification (AHA)
  • \n

  • Minimum one year of acute nursing care experience required, hospital-based preferred
  • \n

  • Home health experience required
  • \n

  • Certified Home Health credential required, including proficiency with OASIS
  • \n

  • Infusion Therapy certification preferred
  • \n

  • BSN highly preferred
  • \n

  • Current driver's license and auto insurance required
  • \n

  • Must have own vehicle
  • \n

  • Ability to work independently as a clinician with minimal supervision
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of home care reimbursement and regulatory guidelines
  • \n

  • Skills checklist for Home Health RN (current within 1 year) required
  • \n

  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
  • \n

Additional Information\n

    \n
  • Provide, teach, supervise, and document nursing care for sick and injured patients at home
  • \n

  • Intervene to promote, maintain, or restore health, prevent illness, and support rehabilitation
  • \n

  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers and community representatives to coordinate home-based care
  • \n

  • Evaluate patient and family responses to interventions
  • \n

  • Exercise independent judgment and critical thinking, especially in emergency situations
  • \n

  • Maintain emotional stability under pressure and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
  • \n

  • Ability to drive in inclement weather
  • \n

  • Flexibility regarding work hours required
  • \n

  • Maintain confidentiality and accurately document clinical data
  • \n

  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
  • \n

  • Time off requests must be submitted and finalized prior to interview; no more than 5 days of RTO accepted
  • \n

  • History of dependability in meeting scheduled work commitments required
