Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist / Independent Practice Model
A rural, community-focused hospital in Northern Vermont is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join its anesthesia team. Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Practice in an independent CRNA model while collaborating with surgical, nursing, and medical staff.
- Care for a broad patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Support a diverse surgical and procedural caseload, including general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, labor analgesia, urology, ENT, podiatry, endoscopy/GI, dental, and ophthalmology.
- Perform regional anesthesia and maintain clinical competency across assigned procedures.
- Complete accurate documentation and participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and peer review initiatives.
- Work closely with the care team to support safe, efficient anesthesia services.
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Day shift
- Monday-Friday
- 8-hour shifts plus call
- Must be able to meet call requirements
- Candidates must live within a reasonable call-response distance from the hospital
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of a COA-accredited Nurse Anesthesia program
- Current NBCRNA certification
- Active Vermont APRN license or eligibility to obtain
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications
- Current DEA registration
- Ability to meet call requirements
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to high-quality patient care
- Interest in rural healthcare and community-based practice
