A rewarding contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse seeking to make a direct and lasting impact in a high school setting. This full-time assignment runs from ASAP through June 2027, accompanying a male high school student throughout his educational day and during transport to and from school. With an average day lasting approximately 7.5 hours and between 35-37.5 hours per week, you will provide focused, compassionate care while supporting the student’s health and educational experience.
Your expertise and dedication will ensure the student’s safety and well-being, allowing him to participate fully in his academic journey. This position offers valuable experience in school nursing, with the unique opportunity to work closely in a 1:1 setting.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license.
- Prior experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or 1:1 nursing highly valued.
- Experience supporting high school-aged students preferred.
- Ability to manage care both in a classroom setting and during school transportation.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of a student throughout the school day.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 RN care for a high school student during the school day and on transportation to and from school.
- Support the student’s health and safety needs, responding to medical concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with educational and nursing staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation throughout your assignment.
- Communicate effectively with educational team members and the student’s family.
