Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with K-12 students with varying abilities and needs
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to suit diverse learners
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and fostering a supportive classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and goals
- Provide direct instruction in various settings and adjust teaching strategies as needed to support student progress
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and data collection for compliance and communication with families
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging social, emotional, and academic growth
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school activities as needed
