Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Mold Maintenance Technician for a direct-hire opportunity with a well-established precision manufacturing company in Reading, MA. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the reliability and performance of injection molding equipment and supporting overall production efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in an injection molding environment and a strong background in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment repair.
Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
$35.00 - $45.00/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, execute, and track preventive and predictive maintenance activities for mold department equipment
- Diagnose and repair injection molding machines, robots, laser systems, and ancillary equipment
- Coordinate and manage external repair and service vendors as needed
- Obtain repair quotes and serve as the primary point of contact for outside service providers
- Maintain critical spare parts inventory for molding equipment
- Ensure all safety equipment, alarms, and safeguards are operational and compliant
- Assist with facility-related maintenance and repair projects within the molding department
- Support departmental safety initiatives, TS16949 programs, and operational standards
- Assist in promoting and maintaining quality system requirements and best practices
- Support and enforce departmental and company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- 8–10 years of maintenance experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment
- Excellent mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience maintaining injection molding machines and related automation equipment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 65 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods
