Step into a fulfilling role supporting elementary learners for the 2026-2027 academic year! As a dedicated special education professional, you'll make a meaningful difference working with students in a collaborative, positive environment just outside Nashua, NH. This contract position offers a full-time schedule, with a consistent 35 hours per week from September 2026 through June 2027.
You’ll primarily work with elementary students, providing targeted small-group instruction and engaging in co-teaching within the classroom. Your expertise will enable every child to succeed, whether you’re developing individualized education plans or fostering an inclusive learning environment. School-based experience is especially valued, and you'll find daily opportunities to share your skills while growing professionally.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience in an educational setting preferred, especially with elementary-age students
- Strong knowledge of best practices in individualized instruction and collaborative teaching
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to varying student needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide small-group and co-taught instruction within regular classroom settings
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive classroom atmosphere
