Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) - Oncology
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Springfield, MA
Job Summary & Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive clinical care to adult and geriatric oncology patients in an outpatient setting.

Conduct patient evaluations, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations.

Assess patient conditions and develop individualized treatment and care plans.

Monitor patient progress and response to treatment.
-
Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and laboratory studies.
-
Manage medications and treatment plans in accordance with established clinical protocols.
-
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
-
Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Coordinate patient care and provide appropriate follow-up.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Participate in the provider on-call rotation.

Promote a patient-centered approach to oncology care.
Education, Licensure, and Experience:
-
Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) credentials.
-
Current Massachusetts licensure/authorization to practice.
-
Relevant clinical experience as an NP or PA-C.
-
Oncology experience preferred.
-
Strong clinical assessment and patient-management skills.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary oncology team.
-
Willingness to participate in the provider on-call rotation.
-
Experience caring for adult through geriatric patients preferred.
