Step into an engaging school-based contract position utilizing your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Work with students from Pre-K through 12th grade in a supportive educational environment, making a positive impact on communication skills that set the foundation for lifelong success. This full-time role runs from 8:25am to 3:10pm each school day and is available for an immediate start.
Your capacity to build rapport with students and collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families will be highly valued. The caseload includes a range of ages and needs, with an estimated 30-40 students—the final number to be confirmed by the school director.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Completion of an accredited SLPA program or equivalent training required
- State licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLPA
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Confidence in providing therapy activities designed by licensed SLPs to support students' IEP goals
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Flexibility and positivity when working with diverse student populations
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Implement speech and language intervention plans
- Track and document session outcomes and student progress
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success
- Contribute to IEP meetings and assist in preparing materials
- Uphold confidentiality and follow all relevant regulations
