Location: Southwick, MA
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $22.50–$28.00/hour
Overtime: Overtime and weekends may be required
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join a manufacturing team in Southwick, MA. In this role, you will assemble mechanical components and finished products by following blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions.
This is a hands-on position that requires strong attention to detail, comfort using hand and power tools, and the ability to work with close tolerances.
What You'll Do

Assemble mechanical parts and components according to blueprints and work instructions

Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assemblies

Install and torque fasteners according to specifications

Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions

Perform inspections to ensure completed assemblies meet quality standards

Identify defects and report quality issues

Troubleshoot basic assembly problems and make adjustments as needed

Complete production and inspection paperwork

Gather parts, materials, tools, and subassemblies needed for production

Assist with inventory and material tracking

Work with the production team to meet daily production goals

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
What We're Looking For
-
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred
-
2+ years of manufacturing assembly experience
-
Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus

Experience using hand and power tools
-
Knowledge of fastener installation and torqueing

Ability to read basic blueprints and company work instructions
-
Comfortable performing complex assembly and close-tolerance work
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Ability to bend, reach overhead, climb stairs, and sit as needed

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Ability to work around machinery, forklifts, noise, metal parts, oils, cutting fluids, dust, and other typical manufacturing conditions
