Exciting opportunity for a Special Education Teacher passionate about supporting young learners in an ABA-based program for students with Autism. This full-time contract position begins as soon as possible and runs through June 24, 2027. The role focuses on serving kindergarten through 2nd grade, guiding a caseload of about 11 students, and working collaboratively alongside three dedicated paraprofessionals.
You’ll have the chance to foster growth and progress in students, implement individualized ABA strategies, and lead IEP development and implementation. Key Requirements:
- Current Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certification
- Demonstrated experience using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies in a school setting
- Solid understanding and hands-on involvement in the IEP process
- Experience supporting students with Autism, specifically at the K-2 level
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
- Team-focused, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and behavioral support to students on the caseload
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers to implement ABA strategies and interventions
- Write, monitor, and report on IEP goals and documentation
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom climate
- Maintain communication and partnership with families and school staff
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
