ALL LOCUMS MUST BE WILLING/ABLE TO WORK NIGHTS**MAX BILL RATE: $375/hourlyMUST HAVE MA LICENSUREFLU VACCINATION REQUIRED NO EXCEPTIONS (WAIVERS NOT ACCEPTED)Start Date: JulyAssignment Length: Four to six monthsSchedule:Monday through Thursday: Days 8am-5pm, Nights 5pm-8amFriday: Days 8am-5pm, Nights 5pm-7amSaturday: Days 7am-7pm, Nights 7pm-7amSunday: Days 7am-7pm, Nights 7pm-8amWeekends 7am-7pm/7pm-7amTwo weekday shifts and two weekend shifts per weekClinical Setting: Labor and Delivery-Will the OB/GYN MD be required to work postpartum, OB and GYN, ER and consults? Yes, the OB/GYN MD covers Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, as well as emergent GYN OR cases and ED consults. However, the OB/GYN MD works alongside a PA who does all the postpartum rounding, helps with triage, and the ED consults. The PA also helps with first assist on c/sections and GYN OR cases. - Is it clinic and call during the weekday? - No. This position is OB/GYN inpatient coverage only. This is in-house coverage only, not on-call and not in the clinic.- Are PAs and midwives allowed to admit, or will that be on the OB/GYN? - Midwives cover their own service and admit their own patients. PAs work alongside the OB/GYN MD as part of the "OB team," which means they will help admit, write H&Ps, orders, help write consults, etc, but always with good and continuous communication with the OB/GYN MD for any of the OB MD patients.Patient Volume: Approximately 1200 births per yearAverage 20 patients per dayCoverage:CNMs and PAs in unit 24 hours a day 7 days a weekBackup OB MD in unit 24 7EMR: EPIC. EPIC and OBIX training requiredCredentialing/Privileging Timeframe: 60-90 Days
