Job Roles and Responsibilities
Building Envelope and Engineering

Perform field investigations at existing and new construction sites.

Conduct design calculations and engineering analysis.

Evaluate building conditions and construction issues.

Support building renovation and restoration projects.

Research building materials, manufacturer systems, and products.
-
Apply building codes and current industry standards.
-
Prepare construction drawings, details, and specifications.
-
Support forensic investigations of leaks and construction defects.
Project Management
-
Manage building envelope and structural engineering projects.
-
Manage project schedules, deliverables, clients, and subconsultants.
-
Attend pre bid and pre construction meetings.
-
Provide bid assistance and contractor coordination.
-
Perform construction administration services.
-
Provide contractor oversight and project support.
-
Assist with project administration and client communication.
Client and Business Development
-
Maintain strong client relationships and provide excellent customer service.
-
Support company marketing and business development initiatives.
-
Communicate technical information effectively with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
-
Help develop long term client relationships and repeat business.
Professional Development

Participate in career training and continuing education.

Contribute to professional and company development.

Support a collaborative engineering environment.

Take on increasing leadership and project management responsibilities.
Qualifications and Certifications
Required
-
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or similar accredited engineering program.

Minimum 4 years of experience in Building Technology, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
-
EIT or E.I.T. registration required.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Valid drivers license.
-
Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred
-
Professional Engineer PE license.

Experience with building envelope engineering.

Experience with building renovation and restoration.

Experience with building codes and industry standards.

Experience with forensic investigations, construction defects, and building assessments.

Experience with construction administration and contractor oversight.
