Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) in Burlington, Vermont, United States. Start date: 11/02/2026. Assignment length: 16 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,887–$2,943 per week. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to adult ICU and adult/pediatric general units per physician orders
- Manage ventilator support, airway management, and airway clearance therapies; administer inhaled medications and optimize therapies based on patient response
- Conduct patient assessments, monitor progress, and adjust care plans in collaboration with the care team
- Perform and interpret routine respiratory procedures, monitor device parameters, and ensure safe operation of equipment
- Document care activities and patient responses in the Epic EMR; maintain accurate and timely communication with physicians, nurses, and other team members
- Maintain equipment, adhere to infection control protocols, and participate in patient and family education
- Weekend coverage as needed; no formal on-call requirement
Requirements
- Licenses: Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license; CRT not accepted
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP; NBRC verification required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Special requirements: Teaching hospital experience required; Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Setting: Ability to work in inpatient hospital environments (adult ICU and general units)
- Additional notes: All work history details should be complete for submission; reliable transportation is recommended (public transit not accessible in the area)
