Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Special Education Teacher certification (state-specified or eligibility required)
- Proven experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably within special education
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion for supporting diverse learners and fostering an inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) for students
- Engage students using evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to different learning needs
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Foster productive relationships with students and families to encourage ongoing growth and communication
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements
- Track student progress and adjust teaching methods for optimal learning outcomes
