Position Summary

The Junior Production Planner is responsible for coordinating production schedules and supporting planning activities within a manufacturing environment. This role works closely with production, materials, quality, and customer-facing teams to ensure efficient scheduling, inventory management, and on-time delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and maintain production schedules using ERP, MRP, and shop floor systems.
- Translate customer demand, forecasts, and order requirements into executable production plans.
- Communicate priorities and schedule changes to production teams and supervisors.
- Monitor production performance, machine utilization, and schedule adherence.
- Participate in daily production meetings and support weekly scheduling activities.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and materials teams to address shortages, delays, and schedule conflicts.
- Assist with resolving issues related to customer demand changes, inventory constraints, and late shipments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate planning data, schedules, and production reports.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of production planning, scheduling, manufacturing, or supply chain experience.
- Experience with ERP and MRP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments.
